American Music
By Sarah Corso
I love music. There are different types of music. My favorite type of music is Rock. Rock is a type of music that is very loud. Another type of music is Jazz. Jazz is a type of music made popular in southern states. Country music is music mostly made by southern singers with a story. Soft Rock is love songs and slow. Of course, there are many more music styles in the United States but these are just a few of my favorites.
There are also instruments that make music. There are trumpets, drums, guitars, pianos, trombones, violins, cellos, bass, keyboards, and many more. All of these instruments can make lovely music together! I wonder if anyone doesn't like music?
Drums by Miguel
The drum is a percussion instrument that consists of a drum skin stretched over a shell and struck directly by a person’s hand or by a stick. There are many types of drums such as tenor drums, steel drums, Japanese Taiko drums, and tambourines. Drums are the world's oldest instrument.
I like the drums because the drums are my style of thinking. I have heard rock music and I think it rocks and I would like to play it all my life. I play on a drum set that has cymbals, a base drum with a pedal, and ten drum heads.
The drums are like this: I use this type of drum others are like this:.I get the picture in google.

Violin by Gabriel
The violin has four strings. In order they are sol2, re3, la3 and mi4, the highest note given out by the sol2. Music for violin normally use the sol2. It is harder to learn the violin because it has no frets. It is the smallest of the classical string family of instruments including the chelo, viola and the double bass. In ancient times the strings were of tripe. Nowadays the strings are of metal, tripe with aluminum, silver or steel. It can also be of gold.
The bow is long, thin and slightly curved and constructed of a hard wood called "Palo Brasil" or "caesalpinia echinate". It is about 77 cm long with a tape of 70 cm made of 100-200 horse hair (it weighs about 6 grams). The best are the ones called "Mongolia" as they come from cold climates and the hair is finer and more resistent. This tape goes from one end of the bow to the other. For the strings to vibrate the tape must be wiped with a resin named colofonia. The bow has a screw which makes the tape be tense or loose.
Violins are classified according to their size. Adults - 4/4 by 60 cm by 20 cm wide and 4.5cm tall. Children 3/4, 2/4, 1/4. There is also a violin 7/8 that is used by ladies or people with small hands.
Electric Guitar by Rodrigo
The electric guitar has normally six strings made of steel. This type of guitar uses pickups to convert the vibration of the strings into an electrical current. The sound it produces from this vibration can be made louder with an amplifier or speaker. All rock and roll bands use electric guitars. There are a lot of different designs of electric guitars. All kinds of electric guitars are played all around the world. Some famous electric guitars are the Gibson, the Fender and Yamaha. The electric guitar was first used by Jazz musicians during the swing era of big bands.

Pianos By Ellie USA
People in the United States play a harp-like instrument called the piano. The instrument's original name is pianoforte, meaning loud and soft, but later was shortened to piano. This piano came from two instruments, the harpsichord and the clavichord. There are 88 keys on the piano and when they are "pushed" strings are plucked.
In 1900 Yamaha, a Japanese company, made its first pianos. In 1960 Yamaha produced 2,200 pianos in a month. I actually love Yamahas because I have a really great working piano that is absolutely gorgeous.
